Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• Maintain accurate books of accounts and daily financial transactions.
• Record journal entries, receipts, payments, and accounting vouchers.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Maintain the General Ledger (GL) and subsidiary ledgers.
• Verify financial documents before processing transactions.
• Ensure all accounting records are accurate and up to date.

Payroll & WPS Management

• Process monthly employee payroll accurately and on time.
• Prepare payroll reports and salary summaries.
• Handle Wages Protection System (WPS) processing in compliance with UAE regulations.
• Maintain payroll records, employee deductions, and allowances.
• Coordinate with HR regarding attendance, leave, and payroll updates.
• Ensure payroll confidentiality and compliance with company policies.

VAT & Financial Compliance

• Prepare and maintain VAT-related documentation.
• Assist in UAE VAT return preparation and filing.
• Ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations and accounting standards.
• Maintain proper records for audits and statutory reporting.
• Support internal and external auditors with financial documentation.
• Monitor regulatory updates related to accounting and taxation.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare cash flow reports, expense analysis, and management reports.
• Support budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Analyze financial data and identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience, including minimum 2 years of UAE experience in Payroll/WPS and VAT.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas, and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Odoo, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
