Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

• Handle routine Accounts Payable (AP) transactions accurately.
• Receive and verify supplier invoices and supporting documents.
• Check invoice details, amounts, dates, and payment information.
• Record supplier invoices in the accounting system.
• Assist with payment documentation and payment processing.
• Maintain accurate supplier account records.
• Reconcile supplier statements when required.
• Follow up on missing invoices and supporting documents.
• Report discrepancies to the senior accountant or Finance Manager.

Accounts Receivable

• Assist with Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
• Prepare and process customer invoices as required.
• Record customer receipts and payments accurately.
• Maintain updated customer account information.
• Monitor outstanding balances and assist with follow-ups.
• Prepare customer statements and basic aging reports.
• Assist with resolving billing and payment discrepancies.
• Reconcile customer accounts regularly.
• Maintain proper documentation for all receivable transactions.

Daily Accounting Operations

• Assist with day-to-day accounting operations and bookkeeping activities.
• Record receipts, payments, expenses, purchases, and sales transactions.
• Perform accurate accounting data entry.
• Verify financial information before posting transactions.
• Assist with journal entries and routine accounting adjustments.
• Maintain accurate and updated financial records.
• Follow established accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Support senior accounting staff with daily finance activities.

Financial Reconciliation

• Assist with reconciliation of financial accounts and ledgers.
• Compare accounting records with supporting documents.
• Identify missing transactions, incorrect entries, and discrepancies.
• Assist with bank reconciliation activities.
• Reconcile customer and supplier balances.
• Maintain reconciliation schedules and supporting documents.
• Follow up on outstanding reconciliation items.
• Report unresolved differences to senior accounting personnel.

Financial Statements & Ledgers

• Assist in preparing and maintaining financial statements and accounting ledgers.
• Update General Ledger records under supervision.
• Assist with reviewing account balances.
• Prepare basic account schedules and financial summaries.
• Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct accounts.
• Assist with correcting accounting discrepancies.
• Maintain supporting documentation for ledger entries.
• Provide accurate information for management reporting.

Month-End Closing

• Support the finance team during month-end closing activities.
• Review outstanding accounting transactions.
• Assist with account reconciliations before closing.
• Prepare required schedules and supporting documents.
• Assist with reviewing invoices, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
• Help identify missing or incorrect financial entries.
• Support the preparation of monthly accounting reports.
• Complete assigned closing activities within established deadlines.

Financial Reporting

• Assist with financial reporting and management information.
• Prepare basic accounting reports and Excel schedules.
• Compile financial data requested by senior accountants.
• Assist with monthly reporting activities.
• Check financial reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain supporting documentation for reported figures.
• Assist with preparing account summaries.
• Ensure reporting information is provided on time.

Documentation & Record Keeping

• Maintain accurate financial documentation and accounting records.
• Organize invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, statements, and reconciliation documents.
• Maintain electronic and physical accounting files.
• Ensure supporting documents can be retrieved easily.
• Follow company procedures for document filing and retention.
• Protect confidential financial information.
• Assist with audit documentation when required.
• Keep accounting records complete and properly organized.

Data Entry & Accounting Software

• Perform accurate financial data entry into accounting software or ERP systems.
• Update customer, supplier, invoice, payment, and transaction records.
• Verify data before final submission or posting.
• Assist with generating accounting reports from the system.
• Maintain accurate digital records.
• Learn and follow company-specific accounting software procedures.
• Report system or data issues to the appropriate team member.
• Support improvements in accounting data accuracy.

Coordination & Administrative Support

• Coordinate with Finance, Sales, Procurement, Operations, and Administration teams.
• Follow up on invoices, receipts, approvals, and supporting documents.
• Assist colleagues with routine accounting-related queries.
• Support finance-related administrative tasks.
• Communicate discrepancies promptly to the relevant department.
• Assist senior accountants with special assignments.
• Manage multiple accounting tasks according to priority.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Qualification

• Commerce Graduate from a recognized institution.
• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field may be considered according to company requirements.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Familiarity with bookkeeping and financial documentation.
• Basic knowledge of AP and AR processes.
• Good numerical and analytical abilities.
• Willingness to learn and develop accounting skills.

Experience

• 1–2 years of experience in Accounting, Accounts Payable, or Accounts Receivable functions.
• Practical experience with daily accounting transactions is preferred.
• Experience with invoice processing and reconciliations is an advantage.
• Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems is beneficial.
• Previous experience in a structured finance department will be an advantage.

Eligibility

• Filipino nationality.
• Currently residing in the UAE on a Visit Visa or Cancelled Visa.
• Immediate joiners are preferred.
• Candidates should be available to attend interviews and complete joining formalities as required.
