KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handle day-to-day accounting and finance activities under appropriate supervision.
• Record financial transactions accurately in accounting systems and maintain updated accounting records.
• Maintain complete and organized supporting documents for accounting transactions.
• Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) activities, including supplier invoices, payment records, and account updates.
• Assist with Accounts Receivable (AR) activities, including customer invoices, receipts, and outstanding balances.
• Prepare and process invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and other financial documents.
• Record and maintain accurate expense information and supporting documentation.
• Perform bank reconciliations and assist in identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Assist with supplier and customer account reconciliations.
• Review accounting records for missing, duplicate, or incorrectly recorded transactions.
• Assist with VAT-related accounting activities, documentation, and supporting schedules.
• Support the preparation of financial information required for VAT and other accounting procedures.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and ensure assigned transactions are completed within deadlines.
• Support the preparation of financial reports, accounting schedules, and management information.
• Maintain proper electronic and physical financial documentation and records.
• Ensure invoices, receipts, statements, vouchers, and other documents are properly filed and easily accessible.
• Coordinate with internal teams to obtain invoices, approvals, receipts, and other accounting-related information.
• Communicate with relevant departments regarding accounting discrepancies and pending documentation.
• Support senior accountants with routine accounting, reporting, and reconciliation activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information.
• Follow company accounting procedures, internal controls, and documentation standards.
• Perform other accounting and finance duties assigned by management.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in Accounting or Finance.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures.
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, invoicing, expenses, and reconciliations.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas, data entry, and financial data management.
• Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Good numerical and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet accounting deadlines.
• Genuine willingness to learn and develop accounting knowledge.
