Junior Accountant Full Time

The Junior Accountant position in Dubai with DEC Dynamic Design Studio is ideal for candidates seeking growth in financial accounting, VAT filing, bookkeeping, and audit support.

As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial record-keeping, transaction recording, and account reconciliation to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data. You will regularly update ledgers, verify invoices, and ensure that all financial transactions are recorded in accordance with company policies and accounting standards. A strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance is essential, as you will help ensure adherence to internal controls and statutory requirements.

The role requires proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, as you will be involved in preparing reports, reconciling balances, and supporting monthly and year-end closing activities. Your analytical skills will be used to review financial data, identify variances, and assist senior finance staff with insights that support operational and strategic decision-making.

You will also liaise with auditors during internal and external audits, providing required documentation and clarifications in a timely manner. Additionally, you will contribute by recommending financial improvements, helping streamline accounting processes and enhance reporting accuracy. Exposure to Purchasing and MIS reporting will be an added advantage, as the role involves coordinating with procurement teams and assisting in cost tracking and management reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (mandatory)

• Minimum 1 year of accounting or finance experience, preferably in the hospitality industry

• Additional professional certifications such as CMA, CPA, or equivalent are a plus

• Strong experience in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word

• Working knowledge of ERP software

• Experience in Purchasing and MIS reporting

• Candidates currently residing in the UAE are preferred
