The Junior Accountant role in Dubai at SWISS ARABIAN offers a strong career start in VAT accounting, invoice processing, ERP accounting systems, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
Perform data entry of invoices, receipts, vouchers, and journal entries into the accounting system.
Support the preparation of monthly, weekly, and ad-hoc financial reports under the guidance of senior accountants.
Assist in maintaining proper books of accounts, including general ledger and supporting schedules.
Help with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice verification and payment tracking.
Perform basic bank reconciliations and assist in resolving discrepancies.
Maintain organized filing of financial documents, both physical and digital, for easy reference and audits.
Assist in monitoring expenses and preparing cost summaries for management review.
Support VAT-related documentation and assist in maintaining accurate tax records as required.
Coordinate with internal departments to collect financial information and supporting documents.
Assist during month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing schedules and reports.
Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
Use accounting software and MS Excel to update records and generate reports.
Handle confidential financial information with integrity and professionalism.
Support senior finance staff with additional accounting and administrative tasks as assigned.
Follow up on pending documents, approvals, and internal accounting requirements.
Assist in audit preparations by organizing records and responding to basic queries.
Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all accounting-related tasks.
Learn and adapt to company systems, accounting practices, and reporting standards.
Contribute to improving accounting processes through organized record-keeping and efficiency.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1–2 years of experience in accounting or finance are encouraged to apply.
Basic understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; knowledge of accounting software is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
Good analytical and numerical skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a structured environment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to learn and grow within the accounting function.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
