Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily accounting operations, including accurate data entry, posting transactions, and basic reconciliations.

• Prepare and post journal entries under the guidance of senior accounting staff.

• Generate and process invoices and receipts, ensuring completeness and accuracy of supporting documents.

• Support accounts payable activities, including invoice verification, data entry, and preparation of payment schedules.

• Assist in accounts receivable processes such as recording collections and following up on pending payments.

• Perform bank reconciliations and help resolve minor discrepancies in coordination with the senior accountant.

• Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing schedules and summaries.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, files, and documentation for audit and reference purposes.

• Ensure transactions are recorded in compliance with basic accounting standards and company policies.

• Assist in maintaining UAE VAT records, including proper classification of transactions and document filing.

• Help prepare basic financial reports and summaries using MS Excel.

• Coordinate with internal departments to collect required financial information.

• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and handle data with integrity.

• Identify and report discrepancies or issues to senior accounting staff promptly.

• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation when requested.

• Use accounting software to update records and generate reports as assigned.

• Assist in monitoring expenses and supporting basic cost control activities.

• Perform administrative and accounting tasks assigned by the Finance Manager or Senior Accountant.

• Contribute to improving accounting processes through careful attention to detail and organized record-keeping.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized institution.

• Minimum 1 year of prior accounting experience in the UAE is preferred.

• Basic understanding of accounting principles, journal entries, and reconciliations.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry and basic formulas.

• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is an added advantage.

• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

• Good organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.

• Willingness to learn and grow within the accounting function.
