Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

• Implement and monitor company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations, industry standards, and company safety requirements.
• Promote a proactive safety culture among employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Conduct daily site inspections to identify hazards and unsafe work practices.
• Ensure all personnel follow approved safety procedures while performing their duties.
• Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all worksites.

Risk Assessment & Safety Audits

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments before project activities begin.
• Perform routine safety audits and inspections across project sites.
• Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes.
• Prepare detailed incident investigation reports and recommend improvements.
• Monitor the implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Training & Compliance

• Conduct safety inductions for new employees, subcontractors, and visitors.
• Organize toolbox talks, safety awareness sessions, and emergency drills.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety legislation.
• Maintain safety records, permits, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to improve workplace safety.
• Assist during internal and external HSE audits.

Reporting & Administration

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports.
• Maintain records of inspections, audits, training, and incidents.
• Monitor emergency response equipment and fire safety systems.
• Recommend improvements to enhance workplace safety performance.
• Perform additional HSE-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• NEBOSH Certification (Mandatory).
• Minimum 4 years of experience in HSE/Safety.
• At least 2 years of experience in the construction industry is preferred.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
• Ability to conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• UAE Driving License is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
