Stocker Full Time

Job Description:

The Stocker will be responsible for ensuring the availability and visibility of products through effective merchandising, stock rotation, and maintaining store standards. The role includes replenishing stock, managing stock levels, ensuring product quality, and providing exceptional customer service. The Stocker will assist in maintaining store cleanliness, adhering to health and safety standards, and participating in store activities to drive sales and enhance the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Achieve Sales Targets: Contribute to achieving category sales targets by ensuring stock availability and timely replenishment.
• Product Availability & Replenishment: Ensure shelves are stocked with available products by replenishing as necessary, returning damaged or non-moving items to DC and DSD vendors.
• Quality and Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness on shelves, ensuring products are of good quality and that QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) standards are upheld.
• Customer Service: Provide direct and indirect customer service by ensuring correct pricing, clear signage, and well-maintained product displays.
• Store Activities: Participate in sales promotions, charity campaigns, inventory checks, and any other in-store activities as delegated by the supervisor.
• Product Rotation: Ensure proper stock rotation to avoid expiry and take timely action on short-expiry products.
• Stock Management: Load, unload, and manage back storage to keep the stockroom organized and efficient.
• Team Collaboration: Support colleagues in all store activities to maintain smooth store operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience: Previous experience in retail or stock management is a plus but not mandatory.
• Skills:
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading and unloading goods.
  • Knowledge of FMCG/GM products and merchandising standards is a plus.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and move stock and remain on feet for extended periods.
