Key Responsibilities:

• Record and maintain accurate daily accounting entries, including sales, expenses, receipts, supplier invoices, journal entries, and petty cash transactions.

• Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, supplier payments, and proper tracking of outstanding balances.

• Prepare and monitor ageing reports, follow up on overdue accounts, and maintain healthy cash flow through efficient collections.

• Perform regular bank, cash, and POS reconciliations to ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved promptly.

• Support bookkeeping activities by maintaining organized financial records and ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.

• Assist in month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring all financial data is accurate and complete.

• Conduct intercompany reconciliations to ensure balances between related entities are properly recorded and aligned.

• Maintain proper documentation control, ensuring all financial records, invoices, and supporting documents are well-organized and easily accessible for audits and reviews.

• Provide VAT documentation and reconciliation support, ensuring compliance with UAE VAT regulations and assisting in VAT return preparation.

• Assist in audit processes by preparing working files, schedules, and supporting documents required by internal and external auditors.

• Ensure adherence to internal compliance standards, company policies, and financial regulations.

• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and support business decision-making.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 3–6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within the UAE.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting or ERP systems.

• Solid understanding of UAE VAT regulations, documentation, and compliance requirements.

• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively with strong time management and organizational skills.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or CMA (or currently pursuing).

• Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Familiarity with financial reporting standards and audit processes.
