Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and processing of monthly payroll for employees accurately and on time.
• Maintain and update employee payroll records, including salaries, allowances, deductions, and benefits.
• Verify attendance, leave records, and overtime calculations before payroll processing.
• Support in calculating statutory deductions such as loans, advances, and other adjustments.
• Ensure accurate entry of payroll data into the accounting or payroll system.
• Assist in preparing salary statements, payslips, and payroll summaries.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee salary and personal information at all times.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and assist in resolving discrepancies.
• Support the finance team in posting payroll entries into the accounting system.
• Assist in preparing payroll reports for management review.
• Ensure compliance with company payroll policies and internal controls.
• Coordinate with HR for employee data updates, new joiners, and exits.
• Assist in preparing end-of-service benefits and final settlement calculations.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of payroll records.
• Support audits by providing required payroll-related documents and reports.
• Assist in improving payroll processes for efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure timely communication with employees regarding payroll-related queries.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Knowledge of MS Excel and basic payroll processing functions.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and calculations.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles is an advantage.
• Familiarity with payroll software or ERP systems is a plus.
• Ability to work in a structured and deadline-driven environment.
