Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) processes, including invoice verification and supplier payments.
• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, customer invoicing, and payment collections.
• Prepare and issue invoices accurately and on time.
• Monitor outstanding customer balances and follow up on overdue payments.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure proper posting of accounting entries.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Monitor company expenses and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
• Support budgeting and financial planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and maintain VAT-related records.
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for VAT filings.
• Coordinate with auditors and assist during internal and external audits.
• Maintain organized accounting records, invoices, receipts, and financial documentation.
• Analyze financial data and provide management with accurate financial information.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
• Support process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (mandatory).
• Minimum experience in accounting and finance functions.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
• UAE VAT compliance and financial reporting experience is essential.
• Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
• Experience in bank reconciliations, invoicing, and collection management.
• Retail, FMCG, or Hypermarket accounting experience is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
