Key Responsibilities

Daily Accounting Operations

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and bookkeeping activities.
• Record sales, purchases, receipts, payments, expenses, and journal entries accurately.
• Maintain the General Ledger and supporting accounting records.
• Verify financial documents and ensure transactions are properly recorded.
• Maintain organized physical and digital accounting documentation.
• Ensure accounting records are updated accurately and on time.

Financial Statements & Reporting

• Prepare monthly and periodic financial statements and accounting reports.
• Assist in preparing income statements, balance sheets, and financial summaries.
• Maintain accurate supporting schedules for financial reports.
• Review financial information for completeness and accuracy.
• Provide accounting information to management when required.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) transactions and supplier invoices.
• Maintain accurate Accounts Receivable records and customer accounts.
• Prepare invoices and record customer receipts.
• Monitor outstanding customer and supplier balances.
• Reconcile supplier and customer accounts.
• Follow up on pending payments and resolve accounting discrepancies.

UAE VAT & Compliance

• Maintain accurate records required for UAE VAT compliance.
• Assist with VAT calculations, documentation, and reporting.
• Ensure accounting transactions comply with applicable UAE regulations.
• Maintain supporting documents for tax and financial reviews.
• Assist with audit and compliance requirements when required.
• Follow company accounting policies and internal financial controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in the UAE.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
• Practical experience handling day-to-day accounting operations.
• Knowledge of financial reporting and account reconciliation.
• UAE accounting experience is essential for this position.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of UAE VAT requirements.
• Proficiency in Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar accounting software.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Good numerical and analytical abilities.
