Role Description

The Accountant role at Green Valley Holdings is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role involves managing day-to-day accounting activities, including recording financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, preparing journal entries, and reconciling bank and account statements. The Accountant will assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking. Responsibilities also include ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations, processing invoices and payments, coordinating with internal teams and external auditors, and contributing to continuous improvement of financial processes and controls.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in general accounting, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.
• Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems, and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Knowledge of applicable accounting standards, tax principles, and local financial regulations.
• Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to interpret financial data.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to organize workload, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are an advantage.
• Prior experience as an accountant or in a similar finance role, preferably within a multi-division or project-based organization.
