Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded.
• Manage daily bookkeeping activities, including journal entries and ledger maintenance.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
• Process supplier invoices, customer payments, and financial transactions.
• Reconcile bank accounts, payment gateways, and merchant accounts regularly.
• Perform reconciliations for e-commerce platforms and online marketplaces.
• Monitor sales transactions from Shopify, Talabat, Deliveroo, Instashop, Amazon, and other platforms.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and prepare VAT-related documentation.
• Assist in Corporate Tax reporting and compliance requirements.
• Monitor inventory-related financial transactions and stock valuation records.
• Analyze revenue, expenses, and profitability across various sales channels.
• Maintain proper documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
• Coordinate with operations, procurement, and sales teams regarding financial matters.
• Assist management with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Identify process improvements to enhance financial controls and reporting accuracy.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all financial information.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• 3–4 years of accounting experience in a similar role.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in e-commerce, retail, floral, or FMCG sectors.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and Corporate Tax requirements.
• Experience working with online sales platforms such as Shopify, Talabat, Deliveroo, Instashop, Amazon, or similar marketplaces.
• Proficiency in Zoho Books and advanced Microsoft Excel functions.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
• Experience in bank reconciliations and multi-channel sales reconciliations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• High level of accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality.
