Key Responsibilities

Daily Accounting Operations

• Handle day-to-day accounting transactions and financial entries.
• Record sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, payments, and other transactions accurately.
• Prepare and maintain accounting vouchers and supporting documents.
• Verify invoices, receipts, payment records, and other financial documents.
• Ensure all transactions are recorded in the appropriate accounts.
• Maintain organized accounting files and financial documentation.
• Assist senior finance team members with routine accounting activities.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
• Process supplier invoices and verify supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate supplier and customer account records.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and payment balances.
• Assist with customer payment follow-ups.
• Record receipts and supplier payments accurately.
• Investigate account differences and coordinate with relevant departments.
• Support regular supplier and customer account reconciliations.

Bank & Account Reconciliation

• Assist with regular bank reconciliations.
• Compare bank statements with accounting system records.
• Identify missing, duplicate, or incorrectly recorded transactions.
• Investigate reconciliation discrepancies and assist with corrections.
• Reconcile customer, supplier, and ledger balances.
• Maintain proper reconciliation schedules and supporting documents.
• Report unresolved discrepancies to the Finance Manager or senior accountant.

Financial Reporting

• Assist in preparing monthly and periodic financial reports.
• Prepare accounting schedules and summaries as required.
• Support general ledger maintenance and account reviews.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures.
• Provide accurate financial information to management when required.
• Maintain records necessary for financial reporting.
• Ensure accounting data is complete, accurate, and properly supported.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain accurate and confidential financial records.
• Ensure accounting documents are properly filed and easily accessible.
• Follow company accounting policies and established procedures.
• Support internal and external audit requirements.
• Provide supporting documents for financial reviews and audits.
• Assist with maintaining compliance with applicable accounting and financial requirements.
• Protect confidential company and financial information.

Coordination & Administrative Support

• Coordinate with Finance, Procurement, Operations, Sales, and Management teams regarding accounting matters.
• Follow up on missing invoices, approvals, receipts, and supporting documents.
• Assist with resolving payment and accounting-related queries.
• Support the finance team during busy reporting and closing periods.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties assigned by management.
• Maintain professional communication with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience.
• Only candidates with relevant accounting experience will be considered.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures.
• Practical knowledge of bookkeeping and financial transactions.
• Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable is preferred.
• Knowledge of bank and account reconciliation.
• Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software is an advantage.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple accounting tasks.
