Key Responsibilities

Costing & Financial Management

• Manage costing and financial reporting processes accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare and maintain detailed cost sheets for projects, products, and production activities.
• Monitor material, labor, and overhead costs to support accurate costing.
• Analyze actual costs against budgets, estimates, and expected margins.
• Identify significant cost variations and report them to management.
• Assist management with financial information required for business decisions.
• Ensure costing records are complete, accurate, and properly documented.

Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate inventory records and valuations.
• Monitor raw materials, finished products, work-in-progress, and other inventory items.
• Reconcile physical inventory with ERP and accounting records.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and coordinate with relevant departments to resolve them.
• Monitor material consumption and stock movements.
• Assist in calculating inventory costs and maintaining appropriate valuation records.
• Coordinate with stores, procurement, production, and project teams regarding inventory matters.

ERP & Accounting Systems

• Utilize ERP systems for efficient financial management.
• Record accounting, inventory, costing, purchasing, and related transactions accurately.
• Maintain updated financial and inventory information within the ERP system.
• Generate financial and operational reports from the ERP platform.
• Monitor system records to ensure consistency between accounting and inventory data.
• Assist in improving accounting processes through effective use of ERP tools.
• Support users and finance team members with accounting-related system requirements when necessary.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare regular financial reports and management summaries.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Prepare costing reports, inventory reports, and variance analysis.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Reconcile relevant General Ledger and inventory accounts.
• Provide accurate financial information to management within required deadlines.
• Maintain proper supporting documentation for all financial reports.

Accounting Operations

• Handle day-to-day accounting activities as assigned.
• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
• Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities when required.
• Prepare and record invoices, payments, receipts, and journal entries.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Follow company accounting policies and internal control procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and commercial information.

Internal Coordination

• Coordinate with production, procurement, stores, project, and management teams.
• Work closely with operational departments to verify costing and inventory information.
• Assist in resolving differences between operational and financial records.
• Provide accounting support for joinery projects and production activities.
• Communicate financial and costing issues clearly to relevant departments.
• Support management in monitoring project and production profitability.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Mandatory experience as an Accountant in the UAE joinery industry.
• Strong proficiency in costing and inventory management.
• Hands-on experience with ERP software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Practical understanding of inventory valuation and stock reconciliation.
• Experience preparing cost sheets and analyzing cost variances.
• Good Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Ability to manage multiple accounting and costing activities.
