KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage day-to-day accounting and finance activities accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain proper accounting records for purchases, sales, expenses, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
• Handle inventory accounting and stock control activities.
• Monitor stock receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments, returns, and other inventory movements.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory quantities and values.
• Perform regular stock reconciliation between physical inventory and accounting or ERP records.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and identify reasons for shortages, excesses, or unusual movements.
• Conduct inventory variance analysis and prepare reports for management review.
• Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams regarding stock movements and documentation.
• Verify purchase invoices, goods received notes, delivery documents, and other supporting records.
• Maintain accurate inventory valuation and ensure accounting records are properly updated.
• Assist with periodic physical stock counts and reconcile count results with system balances.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve differences promptly.
• Maintain and review General Ledger (GL) accounts and supporting schedules.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare accounting reports, reconciliation statements, inventory reports, and management summaries.
• Ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and within the appropriate accounting period.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required financial and inventory documentation.
• Maintain organized digital and physical accounting records.
• Identify accounting or stock-control issues and recommend practical solutions.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial, inventory, supplier, and company information.
• Perform other accounting and finance duties assigned by management.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in Accounting & Finance.
• Strong background in Inventory Accounting and Stock Control.
• Practical experience with stock reconciliation, inventory movements, and variance analysis.
• Good knowledge of AP, AR, Bank Reconciliation, and General Ledger.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems.
• Previous experience in food manufacturing, trading, FMCG, or warehouse environments is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Good numerical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
