KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting and bookkeeping records.
• Record daily sales, purchases, receipts, payments, expenses, and other financial transactions.
• Prepare and process journal entries and supporting accounting documents.
• Manage routine Accounts Payable (AP) activities, including supplier invoices and payment records.
• Maintain Accounts Receivable (AR) records and monitor outstanding customer balances.
• Prepare and verify invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and related financial documents.
• Review accounting entries to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper classification.
• Assist with customer and supplier account reconciliations.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate General Ledger records and supporting schedules.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare basic financial statements, reports, schedules, and management summaries.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical financial records.
• Verify supporting documentation before processing financial transactions.
• Assist in tracking income, expenses, receivables, payables, and cash movements.
• Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal departments regarding accounting and payment-related queries.
• Assist with audit requirements by preparing relevant financial documents and supporting schedules.
• Ensure accounting records are maintained according to established company procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and company records.
• Identify accounting errors or discrepancies and assist in resolving them promptly.
• Support senior finance staff with routine accounting and administrative activities.
• Complete assigned accounting tasks accurately and within established deadlines.
• Perform other finance and accounting duties assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Accounting or Finance qualification from a recognized institution.
• Previous professional Accountant experience is required.
• Good knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping.
• Good numerical skills with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
• UAE experience is not mandatory.
• Relevant home-country accounting experience will be accepted.
• Ability to work with accounting records, invoices, payments, receipts, and reconciliations.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software is an advantage.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a finance team.
• Honest, responsible, professional, and trustworthy approach to financial work.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information.
• Willingness to learn company-specific accounting procedures and systems.
