KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handle daily cash transactions accurately and responsibly at the counter.
• Receive and process customer payments, collections, and other approved financial transactions.
• Verify cash amounts, transaction details, customer information, and supporting documents before processing.
• Maintain accurate records of all counter transactions in the relevant system.
• Assist customers with exchange house services and provide clear information regarding applicable procedures.
• Handle customer queries professionally and direct complex issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Ensure all transactions are completed accurately and within established procedures.
• Count and reconcile cash at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Identify and report cash discrepancies, transaction errors, or irregularities promptly.
• Maintain proper documentation for transactions and ensure records are complete and up to date.
• Use computer systems and financial software to enter, retrieve, and verify transaction information.
• Follow established procedures relating to cash security, customer identification, documentation, and transaction processing.
• Maintain customer confidentiality and protect sensitive financial information.
• Support daily counter operations and coordinate with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow.
• Assist with maintaining organized files, forms, receipts, and other financial documents.
• Follow company policies, operational procedures, security requirements, and applicable compliance standards.
• Maintain a professional and customer-friendly attitude throughout all interactions.
• Support the team with additional counter, administrative, and operational duties when required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Must be a graduate in a relevant field, such as Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar counter staff role.
• Previous experience in an Exchange House or financial services environment is required.
• Practical experience in cash handling and customer-facing financial transactions is preferred.
• Good understanding of basic financial and transaction procedures.
• Ability to work accurately with numerical and financial information.
