The Accountant role in Dubai is a prime opportunity for professionals skilled in financial reporting, bookkeeping, audit, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll management. This position is ideal for candidates seeking a high-salary, stable career in UAE corporate finance.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journals, ledgers, invoices, and receipts.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
Reconcile bank statements, ledgers, and balance sheets to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Generate financial reports such as profit and loss statements, cash flow statements, and balance sheets for management review.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning by providing accurate data and insights.
Assist with internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to audit queries.
Ensure compliance with local taxation laws, VAT, and other statutory requirements.
Maintain financial systems, improve processes, and support the finance team in operational efficiency.
Coordinate with vendors, clients, and internal teams to resolve financial discrepancies.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and bookkeeping practices.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or ERP systems.
Advanced skills in MS Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to work under deadlines, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience & Preference
1–2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles.
Candidates with internship experience, knowledge of accounts reconciliation, and familiarity with VAT or tax filing will be preferred.
Fresh graduates with strong theoretical knowledge and eagerness to learn may also be considered.
