JOB DESCRIPTION
Support day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
Assist in maintaining proper books of accounts, including general ledger entries, expenses, income, and journal postings.
Handle invoice processing, verifying supplier invoices for accuracy, approvals, and compliance with company policies.
Assist with supplier payments, ensuring timely processing and proper documentation to avoid delays or discrepancies.
Maintain and update VAT records, ensuring transactions are properly classified and supporting VAT compliance requirements.
Work closely with the Finance team to ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting.
Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and internal reports under the guidance of senior finance staff.
Assist in reconciling bank statements, cash accounts, and other control accounts to identify and resolve variances.
Maintain organized filing of financial documents, both electronic and physical, for audit and reference purposes.
Help track expenses and monitor budgets to support effective cost control.
Assist in reviewing payment requests, petty cash records, and expense claims for accuracy and authorization.
Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to resolve invoice or payment-related queries.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and internal controls.
Support audit processes by providing required documents and explanations when requested.
Use accounting software and MS Excel to update records and generate basic financial reports.
Maintain confidentiality of financial data and handle information with professionalism and integrity.
Assist in month-end closing activities, including data entry, reconciliations, and report preparation.
Monitor outstanding payables and follow up on required documentation.
Contribute to improving accounting processes through attention to detail and organized record-keeping.
Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager.
Candidate Profile:
Ideal for candidates with 1–2 years of accounting experience.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and VAT processes.
Ability to work effectively within a team and follow instructions.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
