Accountant Full Time

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting functions with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to internal controls. Prior experience in the contracting sector is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Posting of Ledger Entries:
   Ensure timely and accurate posting of ledger entries related to accounts receivable and accounts payable, maintaining up-to-date financial records.

2. Bookkeeping and AP Handling:
   Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities with a primary focus on accounts payable. Ensure all payments are processed in accordance with the approved contracts or purchase orders (POs).

3. Invoice Matching:
   Conduct three-way invoice matching (invoice, PO, and delivery note) prior to processing accounts payable transactions to maintain financial accuracy and prevent discrepancies.

4. Month-End Closures:
   Assist with monthly book closures including supplier and other cost accruals, reconciling ledgers, and preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in the contracting or construction industry.

• Skills:

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: AED 8,000 per month
