Key Responsibilities

• Manage client accounting and bookkeeping activities across multiple client accounts.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and management reports.
• Assist clients with financial reporting requirements and provide accounting support.
• Handle VAT registrations, VAT return preparation, and VAT filings in accordance with UAE regulations.
• Manage Corporate Tax registrations, filings, and related compliance requirements.
• Ensure timely compliance with Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations and statutory deadlines.
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Prepare journal entries, ledger reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Assist with financial audits and provide required documentation to auditors.
• Monitor client compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support new client onboarding processes and accounting system setup.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Assist clients in implementing accounting best practices and financial controls.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial data and client information at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure exceptional client service delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Prior UAE accounting experience is essential.
• Proven experience with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax registrations, filings, and compliance requirements.
• Experience working within an accounting firm, consultancy, audit firm, or professional services environment.
• Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and IFRS for SMEs.
• Experience preparing management accounts and financial reports.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes.
• Hands-on experience with Xero, Zoho Books, and QuickBooks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced reporting and data analysis functions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
