Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting transactions and ensure accurate recording of financial data.
• Process supplier invoices, payment requests, and customer receipts in a timely manner.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions effectively.
• Maintain and reconcile General Ledger (GL) accounts.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare journal entries and ensure proper accounting treatment of transactions.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and assist with collection follow-ups.
• Verify invoices, payment vouchers, and supporting documentation for accuracy.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and management summaries.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Support VAT filing processes and maintain related documentation.
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting regulations and company policies.
• Maintain organized financial records and filing systems.
• Coordinate with vendors, customers, auditors, and internal departments regarding financial matters.
• Assist in preparing audit schedules and supporting documents for internal and external audits.
• Monitor expenses and ensure accurate cost allocation.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures and internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience (UAE experience preferred).
• Hands-on experience with Sage and Odoo accounting software is essential.
• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger functions.
• Experience performing bank reconciliations and maintaining financial records.
• Knowledge of VAT filing procedures and UAE tax compliance requirements is an advantage.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, Pivot Tables, and reporting functions.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
