Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and financial transactions.
• Record journal entries, invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and credit notes.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) efficiently.
• Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger (GL).
• Verify supplier invoices and customer payments before processing.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of all accounting records.
• Monitor daily cash transactions and financial activities.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly financial statements, including Balance Sheets and Profit & Loss Statements.
• Generate financial reports for management review.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ledger reconciliations regularly.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Analyze financial performance and identify discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate financial records for reporting purposes.

VAT, Compliance & Audits

• Support VAT filing and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations.
• Maintain VAT documentation and financial records.
• Assist in both internal and external audits by preparing required reports and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and financial procedures.
• Recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information.

Coordination & Administrative Support

• Coordinate with management regarding financial planning and reporting.
• Work closely with procurement, sales, inventory, and operations teams.
• Prepare financial schedules using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Respond to finance-related queries from internal departments.
• Perform additional accounting duties assigned by the Finance Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 2–4 years of retail accounting experience.
• UAE retail experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Good understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliation.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and compliance.
• Good communication and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
