Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• Manage daily accounting transactions and ensure financial records are accurate and up to date.
• Record journal entries, payment vouchers, receipts, invoices, and credit notes.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) by processing supplier invoices and payments.
• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), monitor customer collections, and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Maintain the General Ledger (GL) and ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded.
• Verify supporting documents before processing financial transactions.
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Generate Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Reports.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
• Prepare management reports and financial summaries.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Analyze financial data and recommend improvements where appropriate.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and financial procedures.
• Maintain proper documentation for audit and statutory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing financial records.
• Assist with VAT and tax-related documentation where applicable.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information.
• Help improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.

Administrative Support

• Coordinate with procurement, sales, HR, and operations departments regarding financial matters.
• Prepare reports and schedules using Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Respond to finance-related inquiries from management and internal departments.
• Maintain accurate electronic and physical filing systems.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software is an advantage.
• Good understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliation.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
• High attention to detail, integrity, and professionalism.
