Key Responsibilities

IATA BSP & Airline Accounting

• Handle IATA BSP reconciliation and ensure accurate recording of airline transactions.
• Manage airline settlements and related accounting entries.
• Process and maintain ADM/ACM accounting records.
• Coordinate airline remittances and ensure payments are processed accurately.
• Reconcile BSP reports with internal accounting records.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in BSP and airline settlement accounts.

Ticketing & Transaction Reconciliation

• Monitor daily ticketing transactions and related financial records.
• Reconcile ticket sales, refunds, exchanges, and cancellations.
• Track airline commissions and ensure accurate accounting.
• Verify transaction reports received from GDS and airline systems.
• Identify discrepancies and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
• Maintain proper documentation for ticketing and settlement transactions.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Manage daily Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
• Process supplier invoices and customer-related accounting transactions.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and supplier balances.
• Reconcile customer and supplier accounts.
• Follow up on pending payments and outstanding balances.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.

Payroll, Cash Flow & Audits

• Assist with payroll processing and related accounting documentation.
• Monitor company cash flow and maintain accurate cash records.
• Prepare cash flow information for management review.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Provide required financial records and supporting documents during audits.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.

UAE VAT & Financial Reporting

• Prepare UAE VAT returns and maintain appropriate VAT documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable UAE VAT regulations.
• Review VAT-related transactions for accuracy.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and accounting schedules.
• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with accounting policies.
• Support management with financial analysis and reporting requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of UAE travel industry accounting experience.
• Experience in an IATA travel agency environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IATA BSP accounting and airline settlements.
• Practical knowledge of ADM/ACM accounting and remittance procedures.
• Good understanding of UAE VAT compliance.
• Knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles.
• Hands-on experience with nuTRAACS Accounting Software is preferred.
• Proficiency in Amadeus, Galileo, or other GDS platforms.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and data reconciliation skills.
• Excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet financial deadlines.
