Key Responsibilities

Daily Accounting Operations

• Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• Record sales, purchases, receipts, payments, expenses, and other financial transactions.
• Prepare and maintain journal entries and accounting vouchers.
• Verify financial documents and supporting records before processing.
• Maintain accurate General Ledger and accounting records.
• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded correctly and on time.
• Maintain organized physical and digital financial documentation.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) transactions and supplier accounts.
• Verify supplier invoices, payment requests, and supporting documents.
• Maintain accurate records of supplier payments and outstanding balances.
• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions and customer accounts.
• Prepare customer invoices and record received payments.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue balances.
• Reconcile supplier and customer statements and resolve discrepancies.

Bank Reconciliation

• Perform regular bank reconciliations.
• Compare bank statements with accounting records.
• Identify and investigate discrepancies.
• Record bank charges, deposits, transfers, and other banking transactions.
• Maintain accurate cash and bank records.
• Prepare reconciliation schedules and supporting documents.

Financial Reporting

• Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Prepare accounting schedules and management summaries.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Assist with cash flow monitoring and financial analysis.
• Provide accurate financial information to management when required.
• Ensure reports are supported by complete and accurate documentation.

Compliance & Documentation

• Follow company accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions.
• Assist with applicable tax and compliance requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by providing requested records.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and business information.
• Ensure financial files are properly organized and readily accessible.

Accounting Software & Excel

• Use accounting software or ERP systems to record and manage transactions.
• Maintain accurate and updated financial data within accounting systems.
• Use Microsoft Excel for reconciliations, calculations, schedules, and reports.
• Prepare spreadsheets and accounting summaries when required.
• Check data carefully to minimize accounting and reporting errors.

Coordination

• Coordinate with suppliers, customers, banks, auditors, and internal departments.
• Respond to accounting-related queries professionally.
• Follow up on pending invoices, payments, approvals, and documentation.
• Assist senior management with financial information and accounting reports.
• Support improvements in accounting procedures and record keeping.

Requirements

• Experience: 2–5 years in accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is preferred.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
• Practical knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Experience with bank reconciliation and General Ledger accounting.
• Knowledge of financial reporting and month-end closing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
