Accountant Full Time

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• Handle day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• Record journal entries, invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions accurately.
• Maintain General Ledger and supporting accounting records.
• Verify financial documents and ensure transactions are properly authorized.
• Maintain organized physical and digital accounting files.
• Ensure accounting records are updated accurately and within required deadlines.

Financial Reporting

• Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Prepare accounting schedules and supporting financial statements.
• Review financial information for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with management reports and financial summaries.
• Analyze account balances and identify unusual movements or discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

Reconciliation & Verification

• Perform regular bank and account reconciliations.
• Reconcile supplier, customer, and General Ledger accounts.
• Investigate differences and coordinate with relevant departments to resolve discrepancies.
• Verify accounting entries and supporting documents.
• Maintain reconciliation schedules and ensure outstanding items are followed up.

IFRS Compliance

• Apply relevant International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) while performing accounting activities.
• Assist in ensuring financial statements and accounting records follow applicable accounting principles.
• Support management with accounting information and reporting requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation for accounting treatments and adjustments.
• Stay updated with relevant accounting procedures and reporting requirements.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
• Process supplier invoices and payment documentation.
• Maintain supplier and customer account records.
• Monitor outstanding balances and support payment follow-ups.
• Reconcile supplier and customer statements.
• Assist with resolving billing and payment discrepancies.

Audit & Compliance Support

• Assist with internal and external audit requirements.
• Prepare schedules, reports, and supporting documents requested by auditors.
• Provide accurate financial information when required.
• Maintain proper accounting documentation for audit purposes.
• Follow company policies, internal controls, and financial procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and business information.

Excel & Accounting Software

• Use Microsoft Excel for accounting calculations, reconciliations, schedules, and financial reports.
• Maintain accurate information in accounting software or ERP systems.
• Prepare spreadsheets and financial summaries as required.
• Ensure accounting data is entered accurately and consistently.
• Support improvements in accounting processes and reporting systems.

Requirements

• CA/CMA Inter – Qualified or Pursuing.
• Relevant experience in Accounting and Financial Reporting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Good knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations, AP, and AR.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a finance team.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.
