Key Responsibilities

Daily Accounting Operations

• Manage day-to-day accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
• Record invoices, receipts, payments, expenses, and journal entries.
• Maintain proper accounting documentation and filing systems.
• Ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities.
• Maintain General Ledger records and supporting schedules.
• Review accounting entries and supporting documents for accuracy.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
• Process supplier invoices and verify supporting documentation.
• Monitor customer outstanding balances and receivables.
• Prepare customer invoices and follow up on pending payments.
• Maintain supplier and customer account records.
• Reconcile supplier statements and customer accounts.
• Coordinate with internal teams and clients to resolve payment discrepancies.

Client Invoicing & Payment Follow-Up

• Prepare and issue client invoices accurately and within agreed timelines.
• Maintain Statements of Account (SOA) for clients.
• Monitor payment schedules and outstanding invoices.
• Follow up with clients regarding overdue payments.
• Coordinate with project and operations teams regarding billing requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation for invoices and payment collections.
• Assist in resolving billing and invoicing queries.

Bank & Supplier Reconciliation

• Perform regular bank reconciliations.
• Compare bank statements with accounting records and identify discrepancies.
• Reconcile supplier accounts and investigate unmatched transactions.
• Prepare reconciliation statements and supporting schedules.
• Ensure outstanding reconciliation items are followed up and resolved promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of reconciliation activities.

VAT & Corporate Tax

• Support compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax requirements.
• Maintain proper tax-related invoices, records, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with VAT calculations and filing-related activities.
• Ensure accounting transactions are properly recorded for tax reporting.
• Coordinate with senior finance staff or tax consultants when required.
• Maintain organized documentation for tax and audit purposes.

Payroll & WPS

• Assist with payroll processing and WPS-related activities.
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records.
• Coordinate with HR regarding attendance, salary adjustments, and employee information.
• Assist in preparing payroll schedules and supporting documents.
• Ensure payroll information is accurately recorded in accounting records.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee salary and financial information.

Petty Cash & Expenses

• Manage petty cash and routine expense transactions.
• Record petty cash payments and maintain supporting receipts.
• Reconcile petty cash balances regularly.
• Review expense claims and supporting documents.
• Monitor company expenses and identify discrepancies.
• Maintain proper records for expense reporting and management review.

Costing & Financial Reporting

• Assist with basic project/job costing activities.
• Monitor project-related expenses and accounting information.
• Support preparation of monthly accounting and management reports.
• Prepare financial schedules, summaries, and basic analysis.
• Assist management with accurate financial information when required.
• Identify unusual variances and report them to senior management.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• 1–3 years of UAE accounting experience.
• Experience in Facilities Management, MEP, Maintenance, or Contracting is preferred.
• Good knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.
• Proficiency in Tally Prime and Microsoft Excel.
• Good understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Experience with bank and supplier reconciliation.
• Knowledge of client invoicing, SOA preparation, and payment follow-up.
• Knowledge of Payroll and WPS processes.
• Experience handling petty cash and expense management.
• Basic knowledge of project/job costing.
• Ability to prepare monthly accounting and management reports.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple accounting tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
