Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounting operations, including AP, AR, GL, journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
• Handle month-end closing and support preparation of financial statements and management reports, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
• Apply appropriate revenue recognition principles for prepaid memberships, packages, and subscriptions.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and reconcile membership management system reports, including collections, refunds, discounts, and outstanding balances.
• Maintain the Fixed Assets Register and subsidiary ledgers for stocks and consumables.
• Process UAE payroll and WPS, including salary reconciliations and preparation/review of WPS files.
• Ensure accurate VAT accounting and reconciliations and support VAT returns and UAE Corporate Tax compliance.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain accounting records using Zoho or similar ERP/accounting software.
• Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external auditors and regulatory authorities.
• Use Excel for financial analysis and reconciliations, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and SUMIFS.
• Communicate effectively with management, staff, auditors, banks, customers, vendors, and other external parties.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.

Experience

• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• UAE experience is preferred.
• Experience in a gym, fitness centre, hospitality, or other high-volume membership/subscription-based business will be an advantage.
