KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Daily Accounting Operations

• Manage and record day-to-day financial transactions accurately.
• Prepare journal entries, payment vouchers, receipts, and supporting accounting documents.
• Maintain accurate General Ledger accounts and financial records.
• Handle routine Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
• Verify invoices, bills, receipts, and supporting documents before processing.
• Maintain proper filing systems for financial documents and accounting records.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and payable balances and follow up when required.

Invoicing & Accounts Management

• Prepare and process customer invoices accurately and within required timelines.
• Verify supplier invoices, purchase documents, and payment requests.
• Process receipts, payments, credit notes, debit notes, and other accounting entries.
• Reconcile supplier and customer statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve billing, payment, and accounting issues.
• Maintain accurate customer and supplier account records.

Reconciliation & Financial Reporting

• Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate unexplained differences.
• Reconcile General Ledger accounts and supporting schedules.
• Review financial transactions to identify errors, omissions, or inconsistencies.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing procedures.
• Prepare financial reports, accounting schedules, and management summaries.
• Provide accurate financial information to management when required.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities as assigned.

UAE VAT, Tax & Audit

• Maintain strong knowledge of UAE VAT and tax requirements applicable to the business.
• Ensure accounting records and tax documentation are maintained accurately.
• Assist with VAT return preparation and supporting documentation.
• Ensure tax invoices and financial records meet applicable UAE requirements.
• Support internal and external audit activities by providing requested documents and reconciliations.
• Assist in resolving audit queries and maintaining proper audit trails.
• Keep updated with relevant changes in UAE VAT, tax, and accounting requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, tax, and audit requirements.
• Practical experience with AP/AR, reconciliations, financial reporting, and general accounting.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a finance team.
