Accountant Full Time

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and accurately record daily accounting and financial transactions.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), invoicing, collections, and account reconciliations.
• Coordinate financial transactions related to patient billing, insurance claims, and healthcare services.
• Review patient billing records and ensure financial entries are accurate and properly documented.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and conduct timely collection follow-ups.
• Perform bank, cash, supplier, customer, and General Ledger reconciliations.
• Investigate discrepancies and coordinate with relevant departments for timely resolution.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements, management reports, schedules, and accounting summaries.
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Maintain proper documentation for UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, audits, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist internal and external auditors by providing accurate financial records and supporting documents.
• Coordinate with clinical, insurance, reception, and administrative departments regarding billing and accounting matters.
• Assist with budgeting, expense monitoring, financial analysis, and cost-control activities.
• Verify invoices, receipts, payment documents, expense claims, and supporting records.
• Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential financial and patient-related accounting records.
• Ensure financial transactions are processed according to healthcare accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Support management with financial information and other accounting reports when required.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, MBA (Finance), or a related field is an advantage.
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA, or equivalent are an advantage.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant accounting experience.
• Previous accounting experience in a hospital, medical center, clinic, or healthcare facility is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of healthcare accounting and financial workflows.
• Practical knowledge of AP, AR, GL, billing, collections, and reconciliations.
• Familiarity with patient billing, insurance transactions, and healthcare revenue processes.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and applicable financial regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication, organizational, and coordination skills.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and responsibility.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple accounting responsibilities in a busy healthcare environment.
