KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Records & Accounting

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of all accounting transactions.
• Record and review daily financial transactions in accordance with established accounting procedures.
• Post and review journal entries to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and supporting financial schedules.
• Verify accounting documents, invoices, receipts, and payment records before processing.
• Ensure financial information is properly classified and recorded in the accounting system.

Reconciliation & Closing

• Prepare monthly reconciliations for bank, supplier, customer, and relevant ledger accounts.
• Investigate reconciliation differences and coordinate with concerned departments to resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare supporting schedules, account analyses, and closing documentation.
• Ensure transactions are recorded in the appropriate accounting period.
• Assist in preparing accurate financial reports and accounting summaries.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Process supplier invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and within established timelines.
• Follow up on outstanding Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable balances.
• Maintain updated supplier and customer account records.
• Verify invoices against supporting documents and approved requirements.
• Assist with payment processing and customer collection follow-ups when required.
• Resolve discrepancies relating to invoices, payments, and account balances.

Budgeting & Cost Control

• Support budget preparation and provide relevant financial information when required.
• Assist management with monitoring expenses and cost-control activities.
• Review expenditure records and identify unusual or incorrect transactions.
• Prepare financial information and reports to support management decision-making.
• Assist with monitoring actual expenses against approved budgets.

Compliance & Audit Support

• Ensure accounting activities comply with company policies and applicable UAE legal and tax requirements.
• Maintain organized financial documentation for internal and external review.
• Coordinate with auditors and provide required supporting documents when requested.
• Assist with audit queries, reconciliations, schedules, and financial documentation.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of accounting software such as Tally, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, financial reporting, and documentation.
• Familiarity with UAE legal and tax requirements is preferred.
• Fluency in Arabic and English is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
