KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and regularly update rolling cash flow forecasts based on expected project receipts, payments, commitments, and operational requirements.
• Monitor cash inflows and outflows and highlight potential cash flow gaps or funding requirements.
• Track working capital movements, including customer collections, supplier payments, advances, and outstanding balances.
• Monitor WIP and retention balances and ensure project financial information is accurately recorded and updated.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, variance analysis, and performance summaries.
• Assist in developing financial models for project profitability, cash flow, forecasting, and business planning.
• Analyze actual results against budgets and forecasts and investigate significant variances.
• Support preparation and monitoring of project budgets, cost forecasts, and financial plans.
• Review project revenue, costs, commitments, and margins to identify financial risks and opportunities.
• Assist management in developing strategies to improve project profitability and control costs.
• Coordinate with accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely financial data.
• Support preparation of documentation for VAT and Corporate Tax compliance.
• Assist with tax-related reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation as required.
• Prepare financial information for internal reviews, audits, and management meetings.
• Maintain accurate and confidential financial records and reports.
• Perform other finance-related duties and analysis assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting, preferably within the MEP industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of project-based cash flow cycles and working capital management.
• Practical knowledge of WIP, retention, project costing, budgeting, and margin analysis.
• Strong understanding of VAT and Corporate Tax compliance.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Excellent numerical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and financial accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills with finance and project teams.
• Ability to analyze complex financial information and present clear findings to management.
