General Accountant Full Time

The ideal candidate will manage financial records, handle journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards. Key Responsibilities:

• • Manage and oversee the daily accounting operations including accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), and general ledger maintenance.

  • Prepare and record journal entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing reports.

  • Review and verify financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

• Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports for management review.

• Monitor cash flow, track company expenses, and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.

• Ensure accurate VAT filing and compliance with UAE tax laws and reporting requirements.

• Assist with external and internal audits by providing accurate records and necessary documentation.

• Maintain fixed asset registers, depreciation schedules, and other relevant accounting records.

• Work closely with management and other departments to support financial planning and cost control.

• Implement and improve accounting systems, controls, and procedures for better efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (Master’s degree or professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA is an advantage).

• Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar finance role, preferably within the UAE.

• Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems.

• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, financial reporting, and UAE VAT laws.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills with great attention to detail.

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with data management tools.

• Ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently or as part of a team.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
