General Accountant Full Time

Key Responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily financial transactions in the accounting system.

• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

• Manage accounts payable and ensure timely processing of supplier invoices and payments.

• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding customer payments.

• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.

• Prepare financial statements including balance sheet, profit & loss, and cash flow reports.

• Maintain fixed asset registers and calculate depreciation.

• Prepare accruals, prepayments, and adjustment entries.

• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.

• Ensure compliance with VAT and other regulatory requirements.

• Coordinate with auditors and provide required documentation during audits.

• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.

• Analyze financial data and prepare management reports as required.

• Assist in payroll accounting and related reconciliations if needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Proven experience in a general accounting role.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.

• Good working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.

• Knowledge of VAT and local regulatory requirements is an advantage.

• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
