Junior Accountant Full Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in daily accounting operations, including recording transactions for sales, expenses, receipts, and journals.
• Support the preparation and maintenance of financial records and ledgers.
• Help manage accounts payable (AP) by verifying invoices, processing payments, and maintaining vendor records.
• Assist with accounts receivable (AR) tasks, including invoicing, tracking outstanding payments, and sending reminders.
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure that all cash and bank transactions are accurately recorded.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations.
• Help prepare financial statements and reports under the guidance of senior accountants.
• Assist in maintaining accurate documentation and filing systems for all financial transactions.
• Support compliance with taxation requirements, including VAT reporting and corporate tax documentation.
• Assist in budget monitoring and cost tracking to ensure proper financial management.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather data and support financial analysis and reporting.
• Maintain accurate inventory, asset, and expense records.
• Respond to queries from internal departments regarding financial transactions or records.
• Support audit preparation by organizing working papers and providing required documentation.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify discrepancies or errors and report them to senior accountants for resolution.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of relevant accounting experience; internships or training experience is acceptable.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and bookkeeping.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho, or Tally.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and basic data analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording financial transactions.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and management.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
