Key Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Assist in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
• Prepare and post journal entries, payment vouchers, and accounting adjustments.
• Maintain and reconcile General Ledger accounts.
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies promptly.
• Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
• Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding receivables.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Verify the accuracy of financial transactions and supporting documents.
• Maintain organized records of invoices, receipts, contracts, and financial documentation.
• Assist in budget monitoring and cost-control activities.
• Support audit processes by providing required reports and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and financial procedures.
• Coordinate with project teams and operational departments regarding financial transactions.
• Monitor project-related expenses and assist in cost tracking.
• Support VAT documentation and regulatory compliance activities where applicable.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all financial information.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in the UAE or GCC region.
• Experience in the water, construction, or infrastructure sectors is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
• Experience handling Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Good understanding of General Ledger management and financial recordkeeping.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
