Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, journals, and ledger entries.
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Perform bank, customer, supplier, and insurance-related reconciliations.
• Process invoices, payments, receipts, and expense claims accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Assist in maintaining the general ledger and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare supporting documentation for audits and financial reviews.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis tasks.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
• Support VAT calculations, documentation, and filing requirements in accordance with UAE regulations.
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation for compliance purposes.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
• Assist in insurance-related accounting processes, claims accounting, and premium reconciliations where applicable.
• Identify discrepancies and support corrective actions to ensure financial accuracy.
• Provide administrative support to the finance department as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in Health Insurance TPA, Health Insurance, or the Insurance industry is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and accounting standards.
• Experience with insurance-related accounting processes and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced spreadsheet and reporting functions.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Good understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
• Strong time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Professional accounting certifications such as ACCA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent will be considered an advantage.
