Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• Record daily financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
• Prepare and post journal entries, invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and credit notes.
• Maintain and reconcile General Ledger (GL) accounts.
• Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions.
• Verify supplier invoices and customer payments before processing.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with petty cash management and expense tracking.

Financial Reporting & Reconciliation

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Reconcile customer, supplier, and ledger accounts.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Statements, and management reports.
• Analyze financial data and resolve accounting discrepancies promptly.

VAT & Compliance

• Assist in the preparation and submission of UAE VAT returns.
• Maintain VAT documentation and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations.
• Support internal and external audit activities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company financial policies.
• Maintain organized financial records for audit and reporting purposes.

Administrative & Financial Support

• Coordinate with internal departments regarding invoices, payments, and financial documentation.
• Prepare financial schedules and management reports using Microsoft Excel.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
• Perform additional accounting duties assigned by the Finance Manager.

Key Requirements

• 3–5 years of accounting experience.
• Minimum 2 years of UAE accounting experience (Mandatory).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• Strong understanding of Accounting Principles, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliations, Financial Reporting, and UAE VAT.
• Experience with ERP/accounting software such as SAP Business One, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Odoo, Tally Prime, Sage 50, or QuickBooks.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA (Part Qualified), CMA, CA Inter, or CPA (Part Qualified) will be an added advantage.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
