Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

• Implement and monitor Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
• Promote a positive safety culture among employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify unsafe conditions and practices.
• Ensure all employees wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Monitor site activities to ensure safe working practices are followed at all times.

Site Inspections & Risk Assessment

• Conduct routine site inspections to identify potential hazards.
• Perform detailed risk assessments before work activities begin.
• Recommend corrective and preventive actions to eliminate workplace risks.
• Carry out regular safety audits and monitor compliance with HSE standards.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes.
• Prepare detailed incident reports and recommend preventive measures.

Safety Training & Compliance

• Conduct safety induction programs for new employees and subcontractors.
• Organize toolbox talks, emergency drills, and safety awareness campaigns.
• Ensure employees understand safety procedures and emergency response plans.
• Monitor compliance with safety permits and work authorization systems.
• Maintain HSE documentation, inspection reports, and training records.
• Support internal and external HSE audits.

Reporting & Coordination

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and supervisors on safety matters.
• Monitor emergency equipment, fire extinguishers, and first-aid facilities.
• Ensure all safety signage and warning notices are properly displayed.
• Assist management in improving workplace safety performance.
• Perform additional HSE duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• NEBOSH Certification (Mandatory).
• Minimum 4 years of experience in HSE/Safety.
• At least 2 years of experience in the construction industry is preferred.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
• Ability to conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• UAE Driving License is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple site responsibilities.
