Key Responsibilities

Daily Accounting Operations

• Record daily financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
• Prepare journal entries, payment vouchers, receipts, and invoices.
• Assist in maintaining the General Ledger (GL).
• Process Accounts Payable (AP) and supplier invoices.
• Support Accounts Receivable (AR) by monitoring customer payments.
• Verify financial documents before processing transactions.
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation.

Financial Reporting

• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and statements.
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare expense reports and payment schedules.
• Assist in preparing cash flow reports and management reports.
• Help maintain accurate financial records for audits and compliance.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
• Maintain complete financial documentation for all transactions.
• Support internal and external audit activities.
• Assist with tax and statutory documentation where applicable.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
• Recommend improvements to accounting processes when appropriate.

Administrative Support

• Coordinate with finance, procurement, HR, and operations departments.
• Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and financial summaries.
• Maintain electronic and physical filing systems.
• Assist senior accountants with daily accounting activities.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of accounting software is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
