KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with day-to-day accounting transactions, including receipts, payments, expenses, invoices, and journal entries.
• Perform accurate bookkeeping and maintain updated financial records.
• Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) activities, including supplier invoice processing and payment documentation.
• Support Accounts Receivable (AR) activities, including customer invoices, receipts, outstanding balances, and follow-ups.
• Prepare and process invoices, credit notes, debit notes, receipts, and other financial documents.
• Verify accounting documents and supporting records before entering transactions.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and investigate differences between bank statements and accounting records.
• Support customer, supplier, and ledger reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate General Ledger records and assist with routine journal postings.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and preparation of accounting schedules.
• Support preparation of financial reports, statements, and management information.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical financial documentation.
• Assist with VAT-related accounting documentation and supporting schedules where required.
• Support internal and external audit activities by preparing requested documents and records.
• Enter and update financial information accurately in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Use Microsoft Excel to prepare basic reports, reconciliations, schedules, and financial data.
• Coordinate with sales, procurement, operations, and administration teams regarding accounting documents and transactions.
• Identify missing information, duplicate entries, and accounting discrepancies and report them to senior finance staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of company and financial information.
• Follow established accounting procedures, internal controls, and documentation standards.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is preferred; suitable candidates with strong accounting knowledge may also be considered.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping.
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, invoicing, and reconciliations.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems is an advantage.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
