Junior Accountant Full Time

The Junior Accountant position in Dubai with AMIT International Group FZE offers a strong entry point into professional accounting careers in the UAE. This role supports accounts payable and receivable, VAT compliance, bookkeeping, and ERP accounting systems.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Perform all accounting-related functions required to maintain the general ledger in compliance with IFRS standards, company policies, and established procedures.

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including daily entry of invoices, bills, journal entries, weekly check runs, monthly accruals, and participation in special projects across multiple portfolio companies.

• Review aging reports regularly and follow up with customers to address overdue balances and support timely collections.

• Coordinate and assist in month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

• Research, register, and ensure compliance with state and local tax requirements, supporting proper statutory reporting.

• Analyze financial data and prepare monthly trend reports, along with balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial statement accuracy.

• Oversee fixed asset tracking and reconciliations, including calculation and posting of monthly depreciation.

• Support external auditors by gathering required account information, schedules, and documentation for annual audits.

• Utilize SAP for financial data entry, transaction processing, reconciliation, and financial reporting.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a structured finance or corporate environment.

• Strong proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced MS Excel functions.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and departments.
