Marine Diver Full Time

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties required of him in a safe, professional and expedient manner.
• Report any defects (or potential defects) in equipment, or any doubts about the safety of the operation to the Diving Supervisor immediately.
• Personally check his equipment.
• Ensure that he is fully briefed prior to each dive and that he knows how to use any tools required for the work.
• Maintain an acceptable level of physical and mental fitness.
• Maintain his logbook on a daily basis or as appropriate and ensure that all dives are countersigned by the Diving Supervisor as soon as possible.
• Be aware of his environment and be alert of potential or actual dangers, either to himself or others.
• Assist in maintenance and/or repair of support equipment as required.
• Use the working period to expand his knowledge of his profession.
• Participate in safety drills and meetings as required.
• Take his directions from the Diving Supervisor.
• Report any illness or other medical condition that may prevent him from diving safely. The Diver must advise the Diving Supervisor of any prescriptive, proprietary drugs or medications that he is taking.
• Refrain from any activity which may affect his efficiency, including the consumption of alcohol or drugs of any kind.
• If the job requires work beyond the experience or capabilities of the Diver, then it is his responsibility to advise the Diving Supervisor.

After the Project the Diver shall:

• Assist in demobilization, as required.
• Attend de-briefing session (if requested) or submit any useful input to the debrief.

Qualifications

• IMCA recognised Offshore Surface Supplied Air Diver Certificate (50 Mtr)
• Valid Diving Medical certificate.
• BOSIET OPITO Approved
