KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review and accurately dispense medications based on valid prescriptions and established pharmacy procedures.
• Verify medication names, strengths, dosage forms, quantities, and instructions before dispensing.
• Provide clear and professional patient counseling regarding medication usage, dosage, administration, precautions, and storage.
• Answer patient questions about prescribed and over-the-counter medications within the appropriate professional scope.
• Identify potential medication-related concerns, interactions, allergies, or discrepancies and refer them to the appropriate healthcare professional when required.
• Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, dispensing activities, and pharmacy transactions.
• Ensure medications are stored appropriately according to manufacturer and pharmacy requirements.
• Monitor medication stock levels, expiry dates, and product availability.
• Assist with receiving, checking, organizing, and maintaining pharmacy inventory.
• Identify expired, damaged, or unsuitable medicines and handle them according to established procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional pharmacy environment.
• Follow applicable DHA/MOH licensing, pharmacy, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and protect sensitive medical and personal information.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication-related queries when necessary.
• Support pharmacy audits, inventory checks, documentation, and quality-control activities.
• Maintain accurate billing and transaction records where applicable.
• Stay updated on pharmacy procedures, medication information, and professional standards.
• Report medication errors, discrepancies, or safety concerns promptly through the appropriate channels.
• Contribute to a positive and patient-centered healthcare experience.

EDUCATION & LICENSING

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from a recognized institution.
• Valid Pharmacist License (DHA/MOH) is required.
• Must meet applicable professional and regulatory requirements for practicing as a pharmacist.
• Knowledge of medication safety, dispensing procedures, and pharmacy operations.
• Understanding of professional ethics and patient confidentiality.
