The Purchase Assistant role in Ras Al Khaimah with Ni Met Recycling FZ supports procurement operations, supplier coordination, ERP-based purchasing, and inventory documentation within the recycling and industrial sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Purchasing Department in day-to-day procurement and administrative activities.
Assist in sourcing materials, products, and services in line with company requirements and approved suppliers.
Prepare and process purchase requests, purchase orders, and related documentation accurately and on time.
Coordinate with suppliers to obtain quotations, delivery schedules, and product details.
Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve supply-related issues.
Maintain proper records of purchase orders, invoices, delivery notes, and supplier correspondence.
Assist in verifying supplier invoices against purchase orders and delivery receipts before submission to accounts.
Support vendor evaluation by maintaining updated supplier databases and performance records.
Coordinate with internal departments to understand material requirements and ensure smooth procurement flow.
Monitor stock levels and assist in initiating purchase requests to avoid shortages.
Assist in preparing basic procurement reports, such as order status and supplier comparison sheets.
Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and documentation standards.
Handle routine communication with suppliers and internal teams professionally and clearly.
Maintain confidentiality of pricing, contracts, and supplier information.
Support the Purchase Officer or Manager with additional procurement-related tasks as assigned.
Assist in maintaining organized filing systems for procurement documents, both digital and physical.
Coordinate logistics-related documentation when required, such as delivery schedules and transport arrangements.
Ensure timely updating of purchase records in systems or manual logs.
Provide administrative support to improve efficiency within the purchasing function.
Adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
Requirements:
Any graduate from a recognized university (freshers are welcome to apply).
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Candidates on visiting visa or currently inside the UAE are eligible to apply.
UAE driving license is an advantage but not mandatory.
Basic computer knowledge and willingness to learn procurement systems and procedures.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
Positive attitude with a readiness to learn and grow within the procurement field.
