Key Responsibilities

International Procurement

• Handle end-to-end international procurement activities from supplier sourcing to material delivery.
• Source and develop overseas suppliers for mechanical, fabrication, steel, hydraulic, electrical, and industrial components.
• Obtain quotations, compare supplier proposals, and evaluate vendors based on quality, pricing, and delivery performance.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial agreements.
• Prepare, issue, and manage purchase orders and supplier contracts.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with international suppliers.

Import & Logistics Coordination

• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs agents for timely imports.
• Manage import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading, and shipping documents.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company procurement policies.
• Monitor shipment schedules and resolve logistics-related issues promptly.
• Track imported materials to ensure timely delivery for production requirements.

Vendor & Cost Management

• Monitor supplier performance based on quality, pricing, and delivery timelines.
• Identify new global sourcing opportunities to improve procurement efficiency.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality.
• Conduct supplier performance evaluations and maintain vendor records.
• Resolve supplier disputes and negotiate corrective actions when required.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Stores, and Finance teams regarding procurement requirements.
• Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production delays.
• Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and purchasing forecasts.
• Maintain accurate procurement records in ERP systems.
• Perform additional purchasing and supply chain duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory).
• 2–5 years of experience in International Procurement (Mandatory).
• Experience sourcing from global suppliers, preferably from China, Europe, India, or other international markets.
• Strong knowledge of Incoterms, import/export procedures, shipping documentation, and international logistics.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Experience in manufacturing, truck body fabrication, automotive, heavy engineering, or steel fabrication industries is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple procurement projects.
