The Purchasing Officer position at Alghanim International in Dubai is ideal for professionals skilled in procurement planning, vendor management, contract negotiations, ERP purchasing systems, and supply chain optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Manage procurement activities for infrastructure projects, ensuring materials and services meet technical specifications and project timelines.
Prepare, review, and process purchase orders, contracts, and agreements in accordance with company policies.
Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost-effective procurement.
Ensure timely delivery of materials in line with project schedules, coordinating closely with site teams and logistics providers.
Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, quantity, or delivery delays.
Coordinate with engineering, project management, and finance teams to align procurement plans with project requirements.
Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor databases, and documentation for audits and reporting.
Track inventory levels and recommend replenishment to avoid project disruptions.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, procurement procedures, and industry standards.
Support cost control initiatives and identify opportunities for procurement efficiency.
Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum 5–7 years of experience as a Purchasing Officer or in a similar procurement role.
Mandatory experience working on infrastructure projects, such as roads, bridges, utilities, or large-scale civil works.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier negotiations.
Ability to manage multiple purchase orders and vendors in a fast-paced project environment.
Proficiency in MS Office applications and procurement or ERP systems.
